Nous venons de terminer notre année de résidence de recherche au 3bisf avec un banquet le soir du 14 juillet. Tous les artistes associés et plus de 300 visiteurs ont assisté à une soirée plein de créativité, d'échanges et de générosité - donc à l'image de ce superbe lieu et de son équipe exceptionnelle. Nous avons invité le public à venir rencontrer Miss Tral et son compagnon Sir Rocco pour jouer au Mistral Gagnant et partager leurs souvenirs de Mistral (et donc participer à notre oeuvre collective sur le Mistral qui sera dévoilée à Liévin à la rentrée). C'était aussi l'occasion de montrer nos recherches collectives basée sur le thème du temps/climat et créées avec les patients de l'hôpital psychiatrique et les visiteurs au centre d'art pendant l'année. Eparpillé dans notre petite cellule se trouvaient: Hard Rain, Rorschach Clouds, Blanket of Snow, cerf volants de nostalgie, cyano- et anthotypes, Les Drapeaux d'Utopie et bien d'autres délires. Un énorme merci à Diane, à l'équipe du 3bisf et à tous nos participants fidèles... Vous allez nous manquer.
We've just finished our year-long residency at Aix's 3bisf with a banquet (lardeeda!) on Bastille Day. All the artists featured in their programme and 300+ visitors feasted on an evening full of creativity, collaboration and generosity - the perfect reflection of this superb space and its exceptional team. We invited guests to roll up and meet Miss Tral and Sir Rocco for a wind-themed evening where memories of the Mistral were shared, comestible limited-editions won, and the basis of a new artwork (to be unveiled in the north of France in the autumn) gathered. Stuck away in a former psychiatric 'cell' we surrounded ourselves with the fruits of our year's weather-based research created with patients of the hospital and visitors to the arts centre; in no particular order: Hard Rain, Rorschach Clouds, Blanket of Snow, nostalgia kites, cyano- and anthotypes, Les Drapeaux d'Utopie and various other folies. A huge thank you to Diane, the 3bisf team and to all our faithful participants... We will miss you.
