Voici quelques images et un film de notre dernière installation, Regain - for Alan Johnson,
créée pour le Château d'Avignon à la Camargue. L'oeuvre est un hommage à la vie incroyable de Alan Johnson, décédé décembre dernier. 'Monsieur Flamant' est venu à la Camargue en 1961 pour un stage de trois mois - et ne l'a jamais quitté. Avec le soutien de Luc Hoffmann et la Tour du Valat il a créé un îlot artificiel dans un étang près du château qui a sauvé cet oiseau camargauais emblematique. Aren't flamingos fucking brilliant? Yes. They are. So here are some photos and a film of our latest installation, Regain - for Alan Johnson, created for the Château d'Avignon in the Camargue, France. The work is a hommage to the amazing life of Alan Johnson who died last December. Johnson, or 'Monsieur Flamingo', devoted his life to the flamingo following a three month trip to the Camargue that ended up lasting more than 50 years. Supported by Luc Hoffmann and the Tour du Valat, he created an articifial nesting island in the wetlands near the chateau which helped save the european flamingo from extinction.
