Le Mucem vient d'acheter l'oeuvre - minus les bijoux qu'on vient de restituer à leurs anciens-propriétaires grace à l'aide du Crédit municipal. Woop. Ailleurs, les photogrammes préparatoires pour Lazare vendent comme des petits pains cyanotypes à la Double V Gallery, Marseille (avec un tiers des bénéfices allant direct aux anciens propriétaires des bijoux). Hurrah. Et dernière bonne nouvelle, les Mécènes du Sud vont financer notre art-book sur Lazare - et, en bonus, ils nous ont décerné leur Prix des Lauréats 2018. Mmmm, money.
Quick updates on Lazare / The Space Between How Things Are And How We Want Them To Be... With the exhibition ended, we spent last month returning all the jewellery to their former-owners. The Mucem has since purchased the work (minus gold) and research for its archive/permanent collection. Elsewhere, our preparatory cyanotypes are selling like hotcak patisseries at Double V Gallery, Marseille (and a third of our fee is going to the people who lost/regained their gold). The Mécènes du Sud have given us a generous grant to make an art-book (documenting the project - plus lots more besides - and allowing the ephemeral work to live, and travel, on). We even got an extra bonus, winning their Prix des Lauréats 2018. Mmmm, money.
