Aix and pains

Who needs Cézanne when you've got gethan&myles? That's almost certainly what Mme Guichot the lovely owner of the Domaine Saint Ser said when she asked us to create works for this stunning vineyard at the foot of Mont Sainte Victoire. The result is Under the wave: a suite of four sculptures that respond to this harshly beautiful landscape, the wine that it yields and the history (both human and geological) that has sculpted it. There's a lot to say about these works, but it's probably best saved for a late night and a bottle of their Cuvée de l'Hermite...

All this is ahead of you, all this is behind you / fin #3

Rose... tinted spectacle

Aren't flamingos fucking brilliant? Yes. They are. So here are some photos and a film of our latest installation, Regain - for Alan Johnson, created for the Château d'Avignon in the Camargue, France. The work is a hommage to the amazing life of Alan Johnson who died last December. Johnson, or 'Monsieur Flamingo', devoted his life to the flamingo following a three month trip to the Camargue that ended up lasting more than 50 years. Supported by Luc Hoffmann and the Tour du Valat, he created an articifial nesting island in the wetlands near the chateau which helped save the european flamingo from extinction. Regain will be on display at the chateau from 20 June to 4 October. More information on the brilliant Alan Johnson here.
